Known Issues with the Device and Troubleshooting
Some users have experienced the following issues and their resolutions.
- Should the device freeze or malfunction, restart the device by holding down the power button.
- In case of screen display issues, rebooting the device may resolve it.
- If the battery drains too fast, turning off the WiFI may preserve battery life.
- In case of paperwhite display problems, avoid stress on the device by getting a case for it.
- Apps that require GPS such as Google Maps will not function properly on the device as it doesn't come with GPS.
Driver Information
The device uses the MTP over USB driver. It connects to the computer via a USB cable, and the driver can be downloaded automatically by the operating system or the software provided built into the device. However, some drivers could be outdated leading to ADB streaming issues. One can try downloading a new driver from the Amazon official site or refreshing the driver via the device's menu settings.
