Known Issues & Troubleshooting

One known issue with the device is that it may require a firmware upgrade process after purchase, as some features will do no function unless the firmware is updated. A firmware file can be downloaded from the VeEX website for upgrading firmware through the device's built-in USB port or by connecting to a PC.

Before running the test for ADSL Service Quality testing on the device, the device should sync to a qualified DSL network. Connect one end of the provided RJ11 cable connected to the test interface, and connect the other end to the ADSL splitter. After connecting, perform a sync test and continue with testing involved.

Driver

VeEX continually develops drivers for their testers and the VeEX BX100A is no exemption. The device may be connected with a USB to the PC while manual installation of drivers downloaded from the VeEX website is done manually afterward.
