VIA VX900 StorX-SATA Software/Driver 1.50

Overview:

The VIA VX900 StorX-SATA Software/Driver is a software designed for the VIA VX900 chipset with a built-in SATA controller. The driver comes with Drivers, INF file and software management utility that installs the latest SATA Controller drivers for the following VIA SouthBridge chipsets – VT8251, CX700/CX700M, VX700/VX700M, VX800/801, VX855/VX875 and VX900, and fixes the IDE bus component detection for these chipsets. The driver also adds RAID modes allow users to combine multiple hard disk drives as a single disk drive, as well as support RAID0, RAID1, and JBOD mode.

Using Technologies:

The VIA VX900 StorX-SATA Software/Driver is built using C++ and designed for compatibility to the Windows operating system. It integrates SATA RAID and LPT port controllers within the network driver, including the primary IDE channel, partition management and RAID functionality.

Known Issues:

If there are previous SATA Controller drivers installed in the system, it might not be able to detect hard drive during installation, to fix this restart the system and un-install the existing SATA controllers.
If the system panel does not display the RAID Utility icon, please reboot and press the Tab to enter the RAID Option settings to enable or disable the controller

Troubleshooting:

If the VIA VX900 StorX-SATA Software/Driver fails to install properly, refer to your system manufacturer for support or contact VIA Technologies.
If the system hard drive is not detected after driver installation, confirm that hard drive is firmly plugged in and compatible with the motherboard.
If the SATA Installation Utility does not run, try turning off power management settings in the BIOS setup or contact technical support on how to install compatibly.
